Jamu Beras Kencur Kunyit/Herb Rice Galanga Turmeric

"Jamu Beras Kencur is a traditional Indonesian herbal medicine that uses the main ingredients of rice and kencur (Kaempferia galanga). Ingredients

  • 9 kencur rhizomes
  • 3 turmeric rhizomes
  • 50 grams of rice
  • 800 ml of water
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp tamarind
  • 240 grams of brown sugar
  • 50 grams of sugar.

Step

  • Soak the rice for 1 hour or overnight
  • Peel the outer skin of the turmeric and squeeze it, then wash it thoroughly
  • Blend the turmeric, kencur, and rice until smooth
  • Mix the herbal ingredients into a saucepan filled with water, salt, tamarind, brown sugar, and granulated sugar, then boil until it boils and the remaining 600 ml.
